Most. Awesome. Thing. Ever.
The end where Micah talks about what musicians should really be doing in their music is the reason I love the shit out of him, and anyone else that does that. The mans such an inspiration to me.
Mike Hranica does it at the end of every set, just talks about why they write the music that they do, and that they do it because it’s what they believe in. They don’t wanna stir people, they just want people to know their own personal beliefs.
I love anyone who doesn’t try to just do things, make things, write things, whatever, to impress the masses. That’s not what music should be about, and it’s in all reality not what anything should be about. I have Get Fighted on my foot because for one, it’s an Alexisonfire song, and for two because It portrays that exact meaning - don’t just try to live to make everyone around you think of you in a certain way, don’t just do things to try to make them think that you’re worth their time, don’t just be what you’re not to make someone like you who’s gonna be undeserving of your attention.
I’ve only been listening to Oh, Sleeper for about a year and a half or so, but it’s pretty safe to say after hearing that interview Micah is officially like, one of top 5 favorite, and most inspiring, people of all time.
